Healer Maintenance and Right Relationship

I am currently offering energy healing sessions four days a week. I will do up to 3 sessions per day. I believe I will need to take one week off every month or two.  So far it has been a challenge for me to be able to do even this many sessions.  The work itself does not deplete me; to the contrary, it is rather energizing and fills me with love and positive energy. The challenge is to keep my energy system in good enough shape to hold the intensity of focus I need to direct healing energies powerfully. There are occasional days where I have just not been able to hold my energy at the level needed to do this healing work well. There are two reasons I have discerned so far for this.

  1. Physical health: being tired, sick, or having a low energy level low for some other reason (hormonal, diet)
  2. Other energy demands in my life. Keeping it all in balance–2 teenage kids, marriage, etc.
  3. Right relationship: This may be the underlying cause of #1 actually. I notice that doing this work requires me to be in right relationship with all beings that I interact with. For instance, I had a yucky fight with my partner one night, and did not speak or listen very truly. The next day, my energy was low. That night, I requested a “redo” conversation, which went much better, and my energy level rose.

Another example of this is my relationship with my food. This is an ongoing healing process for me. This past fall I undertook an intensive gut-healing regime. One piece I added to it (inspired by an article by Cynthia Nado in The Journal of Shamanic Practice) was to greet the spirit/energy of the food I was consuming, offer it my blessing and healing if needed, and ask its blessing in return. Specifically I would ask for it to heal my body. The spirits of animals killed for meat often need healing, just a touch to help their spirits move into the next phase (same as humans who have died suddenly or in trauma).

I have also had to take steps to change my membership in various groups, to bring myself into right relationship with the people in it. I stopped being a decision-making member in one group, which immediately restored “rightness” to my friendships with several people in the group.

The principle behind the significance of “right relationship” is simply that we are all interconnected–humans, plants, animals, rocks, earth herself. If I am inappropriately influencing someone else or being influenced by someone, it pulls me out of balance. If I am engaging in work that my spirit (and life purpose) tells me I should not, then that work becomes an energy drain, and my energy goes there instead of to the work I am called to do, which will energize me. In regard to work, the question should never be “Who can I/we get to do this work?” but rather, “What work do I/you feel called to do right now?”

It is not realistic to think I can be in right relationship with everything all the time, but having my intention set that way, and being willing to make changes when they come to my attention, seems to be enough.

Healing Energy Frequencies

One of the most fascinating parts of this work is that I am discovering there are a perhaps endless number of healing energies that may be accessed. Some of them are familiar to me (I need to start a list!), but every week I receive new ones. It is always clear to me what energy to use, and sometimes I can tell that I need to access a new one. So I send up the request, and hold out my hand to receive it.

The other day, I was working on reducing the swelling in an injured knee. I asked for an anti-inflammatory energy, and was connected to a soft, “foggy” grey energy. I surrounded the knee with it (in a containment sphere), and kept it there for the hour. When she left, I gave the energy instructions to dissipate over the course of the next day. She emailed me the following evening to say the swelling was completely gone.

Some of these energies are from places throughout the universe, and some are from within the earth. I usually see them as different colors, but I am sure they are simply particular frequencies of energy. Clearly, different body parts need different healing frequencies. It is my theory, based on information I have been given in spirit, that particular cosmic energies went into the formation of each body system. For example, white light energy (and beings!) have been highly influential in the evolution of our minds over the past 2000 years (the rise of the masculine principle, law and order, abstract thinking, etc.) Whereas there is a particular iridescent silver energy that is useful in healing the nervous system and has contributed to the development of our nervous system (though has been in the shadow for awhile, thus our out-of-date and underdeveloped nervous systems).

Lately I have been working a lot with what seems to be fourth dimension healing energy (see picture above: white full spectrum light, so full of rainbow colors) and a high frequency iridescent gold, which seems to be from the fifth dimension.

Spirit Helpers in Healing

I find that during a healing session, there are usually quite a few spirit helpers in the room. Some of them seem to be in training, while others can provide active assistance to what I–and the client’s inner healer–are doing. I frequently ask spirits to perform energy surgery so that I can continue holding space for the client’s body. Or vice versa. There are some energy healing procedures that I either cannot do myself, or it would take too long to be worth it. In those cases, I just turn the healing process over to spirits who can carry it out.

The other day, I had a client who had somehow been filling herself with what I have heard called “liquid Christos energy.” I know what it looks and feels like, and this term seemed to fit. She is a powerful healer, though she has forgotten it in this lifetime. She also intuitively knew to start taking chlorophyll as a supplement, which I believe opened her to this powerful healing energy, newly available to us on this planet, as I understand it. I just followed along to help her inner healer during this session, who had kicked into high gear. At one point, the spirit helpers took her into a chamber in which she could be immersed in this Christos energy (creamy white light, denser than most healing energies I work with). They said it was the first time this procedure had been conducted on earth.

In addition to energy surgery, I also allow clients in need of deep physical rejuvenation to sink into the arms of the goddess, mother earth, surrounded by green healing energy, asleep in her cave on a healing table. The energy of the place does the work there, not spirits.

The Role of Desperation

When the body gets sick, it is the last call for help. It means healing has not happened at the mental or spiritual/energy levels, and finally is settling into the body, saying to the person’s energy system: “You cannot go about life as usual until you heal this.” I find that typically a serious sickness or injury means that a BIG change is needed at some level in the person’s life: ending a job or relationship, or changing a major belief pattern that has been ruling/ruining their life.

I like being a “last resort” for people whom the western medical system has not been able to truly heal. Being a last resort often means that people are finally desperate enough to actually change. Typically, we continue on with our same old patterns as long as we can, given the scariness of venturing into new and unknown ways, and the scariness of facing our inner demons instead of fleeing before them. We often need a big jolt to find the courage to really change.

Holding Space

Often my sessions will start with simply holding healing space for the client. They are in deep need of physical and spiritual rejuvenation. Especially the worse the malady, their spirits have often been working overtime to hold space for their bodies. I place my hands on the body to give it comfort and know someone else is taking responsibility for its care for this hour. Often their spirit will then fall into deep rejuvenating sleep, sometimes then attended by healing spirits. This usually needs about 5-10 minutes. During this time, I feel that I am holding a space of complete love and acceptance.

Layers of the Aura and Dimensions

I do not work by any particular system. I have recently re-read Barbara Brennan’s “Hands of Light,” which I find very helpful. I believe that every “system” that defines layers of the aura is simply a useful metaphor. I don’t think that some are right and some are wrong. Therefore, I don’t have definitive labels for the layers/aspects I am working on. I can do the work, but talking about it remains tricky.

Most recently, I have come to an understanding of the layers of the aura as corresponding to dimensions. I also believe that terms such as “the new earth” and “ascension” are metaphors for opening our doors of perception wider, so that we can see into dimensions that have always existed here and now, but that we have been blind to.

I read recently online the claim that the earth itself has moved into the fourth dimension. I don’t know exactly what this means, but I’d say at least, I believe that we are now more easily able to perceive the fourth dimension, and I do feel that fourth dimension healing energies are more readily at our fingertips. Actually, I believe that since the shift toward the end of 2012, healing (and change) is now possible in ways that it was not before. My work is part of this flow, and I suspect many other energy healers will be stepping forward.

Inner Healer

I tend to think in terms of different aspects/layers of the self as distinct personas; it makes the work and explanation of the work so much easier. In every session my goal is to activate the client’s inner healer, who knows exactly what needs to happen to heal. My work is to remove the obstacles that are preventing the inner healer from getting to work. This often seems to be caused by mistaken beliefs about the self, past life traumas, missing information . . . (more to be added).

Heart Healing

One of my teachers told me a long time ago that I was a heart healer. That now makes sense to me. I can tell that the power in my healing work comes in good part from the fact that my heart is open and whole. One thing I am doing is holding the client in a space of complete love and acceptance. I am 100% on their team. I trust in their ability to know what they need to do to heal, and to heal themselves if the obstacles are removed. I work at the direction of the client’s spirit and inner healer. I am at their service. This inherently offers me the safety of humility.

Stepping into Energy Healing

I have been professionally offering intuitive readings for 3 years. There has been a voice niggling at me saying that the informational readings are good, but not essential to people. I have felt drawn to do more intensive energy healing work, but kept getting hung up on “Who will teach me?” But I’ve almost always had to learn on my own, so that I would know the way from experience.

Three weeks ago, I began offering energy healing sessions to interested clients, and all of a sudden, I can tell that I am working at a whole new level. Working in silence during the session allows me to stay at a deeper level, and clients laying at rest on the table allows them to relax into a space where deeper healing is possible.

It feels so natural to me to do this work, almost like a relief. I feel that this is the work I’ve always been meant to do. (I’ve caught myself saying frequently this past year, “I just know it is possible to heal with the hands, just by moving energy; if only I knew how!” It turns out I do know how!)  It is easier for me to do than the readings, and I just intuitively know what to do next and where to start. It feels like conducting a beautiful symphony.

One of the most delightful aspects of doing this work is that I learn fascinating things in every session. These findings and wonderings are what this blog is about. I hope to connect with other healers doing similar exploratory work.

The purpose of energy healing

The purpose of energy healing is to bring you into greater wholeness within yourself and in your relationship to the great interconnected web of energy that is Life. We are all parts of one great organism, one great harmony.

Your physical illness is a vital clue about what needs to happen to bring your personal energy system into greater harmony (= heal). When we suffer, not only do we need relief from the pain, but we need to have some questions answered about why we got sick. What are our bodies are trying so hard to tell us? Physical illness is your energy system’s last resort: a full-fledged BELLOW to get your attention.

Physical illness is always your body or spirit asking for a change in how you are living. Whether it be a big or a small change, it is a problem that can be solved—IF YOU CHOOSE TO RESPOND. There is always hope! Our bodies are capable of profound healing far beyond the mind’s grasp.

Western medical systems, in all their brilliance, have not yet found a good way to listen deeply for what the body is shouting at you, for what change it is gasping.

Fortunately, intuitive perception (= deeper listening) can fill this gap with a mercifully light touch. Energy healing begins with simply naming the deeper need: bringing it into consciousness. Following this identification, many paths to healing are possible. It is essential to identify the source of the problem, however, or the many paths will not result in complete healing.

The human energy system works like this: The body is formed by and on an energy template. Blocks or tears in the energy flow will eventually lead to physical problems if not mended. Energy healing offers mending at the energy template level. Once this occurs, the body’s natural healing processes start working to resolve the physical issue. Additional healing practices are often needed in this phase to support the body as it heals, running the gamut from a simple exercise program to surgery.

In my energy healing work, I cannot promise you complete physical recovery. I will listen deeply to your body and spirit, and hold a safe space for your healing process. I can promise you that my work will restore wholeness in your energy system at a deep level, and set the stage for a complete physical healing, if you have the faith and courage to undertake the required journey, and if your soul has learned what it set out to learn from the illness.

We often hold on to physical illnesses at a deeper level because we are still learning a needed lesson in our soul’s journey. These are choices made by our soul that should be honored, so that we can fulfill our purpose in this lifetime. Our souls have a much broader perspective on this lifetime than do our minds.

Whatever stage you are at in health and illness, there is much to be discovered and much that can be done. Do not despair!
